Best damn package I have ever opened. Ever. This might be boring/amusing for my American readers but after a lifetime of watching American cartoons and TV shows and hearing about all the American candy mentioned in them it became a mini life mission of mine to taste as many of those sweet treats as possible. So this week I put my plan into motion and ordered a bunch of stuff from The Stateside Candy Co. I literally spent an hour browsing the site and planning what to buy. They also sell British candy so everyone the world over can taste the delights of Werther's Originals, Chewits, Wham bars and Poppets. Yum.

They also sell Prezel Flipz which made me so happy I nearly was reduced to tears, they used to sell these salty/chocolatey treats in the UK years ago but they discontinued them (surely I wasnt the only one buying them!) so I of course bought a family size bag!

Less food in my next post and more fashion, I promise!

What I got:- Swedish Fish, Pretzel Flipz, Cheetos, Cherry Twizzler's, Junior Mint's, Cherry Heads, Reeses Whipps bar, A Strawberry Cow Tale's bar, Reeses Big Cup, Peanut Butter M&Ms (omg!), Blair's Death Rain potato chips, Oreo Cakesters (like Oreos but made of cake!) and a Cherry AirHeads bar.

I have been wearing ALOT of navy blue recently I think because it's not as harsh as black but still dark? I don't know but I know I'm doing it unconciously, two days ago I even bought a navy blue Vanessa Bruno dress. The first outing for the 'Zoe' boots, I enjoyed being freakishly tall for the day but at the end of an unplanned shopping trip my dogs were barking. Also I'm not sure how well I would have fared if I didn't have the arm of the boy to clutch on to. I despearatly need a new medium sized day bag, this is the only one I own as I seem to either gravitate toward impossibly big bags or clutch bags and not much in between. I need something moderatly sized and easy to carry but pretty for the old eyeballs. I'm on the prowl.

A post of new things! As I mentioned in a previous post I have been buying a lot of vintage recently and this sequined number is one of my newest pieces, I love the pale spearmint colour. Also these jeans are the first pair I have bought in around 3 years that have not been skinny or maxi flares and I gotta say I'm loving the comfort of the boyfriend jean. These purple suede Steve Madden shoesare the most uncomfortable but amazingly gorgeous shoes I have bought in a long time.

I'm most excited about my new watch which was a gift from the boy. I have had my eye on this gold Michael Kors for years and I squealed with joy when it was finally on my wrist where it belongs! I adore the chunky boyish shape and layering it with braclets or wearing it solo. It weighs a ton!

Hi guys, sorry about the lack of posts after crazy amounts of Uni work, a bizarre family Christmas and the seemingly non-stop snow (all the UK people will know what I'm talking about!) blogging has taken a bit of a back seat. Lets try and rectify this shall we?! Just a mini update post today to ease me back into the swing of things.

As you can see I FINALLY got the Sam Edelman boots that I have lusted over for the past two years! The boy got me them for Christmas (yeay!) and although I'm sure nobody cares about them anymore I still adore them! I have so much new stuff that I need to show you guys, I have bought tons of new stuff since I last blogged and alot of it is vintage stuff which I actually stopped buying for a while.

My hair is no longer auburn (sorry to the people who really liked it!) I'm now a kind of blondette I suppose but I'm seriously going to be bald if I dont stop colouring it! I'll do a propper post sometime this coming week but for now I leave you with a photo of some of the stuff in my wardrobe (notice the constellation print Zara tee woohoo!).x

Darker hair than my last post I know, at the first sight of hair damage I had to get rid of the ultra-blonde (as some one who has destroyed their hair with bleach before there was no way I could bear to have short split-ended hair again! It took me too long to grow and repair last time!). However since these photos were taken (last week on the way to the cinema and food with the boy) my hair has changed again but you'll have to tune in next time to see what it looks like now! After coming across Cos in magazines recently I decided to check out what they had to offer (especially as the prices are really great considering my current poorness) and let me tell you I want everything. Simple, gorgeous tailoring and great fabrics not to mention the styling appealed immediately. How gorgeous is the campaign? Anna Jagodzinska looking absolutely stunning as usual. Maybe I'll have to make a trip to Birmingham (my nearest store, you lucky London people have one right there!) to check out everything in person. Also take a gander at the accessories, have I at last found the perfect wedge ankle boots? I would rock them so hard.

Looks like I got this faux fur coat just in time before the weather changed because wearing my regular studded jacket in that wind wouldn't have been a good idea (even though I usually hate mixing prints). I have been keeping my eyes out for a pair of wedge ankle boots that are comfy enough for me to traipse up and down to Uni in but no luck so far (if anyone has seen any nice ones send me the link!). Blonde Is Back.

So here is the new hair. Light brown really wasn't the shade for me. So glad its back I feel like myself again but this is the blondest I have been in a long time. This is what I wore for lunch (Wagamama) with the boy on a particularly autumnal day (I really don't want to accept that winter is on its way). Anyway just a quick post today because essay stress is getting the better of me. Back soon.

Everything I Can't Live Without.

I have been meaning to do a post like this for a while so while I take a break from writing my essay I’ll lay it on you. In no particular order-

1. Maury. I never realised how much I actually watch this show so I decided to keep track of my Maury viewing time over the course of a regular day and it turns out I watch it while I’m getting ready in the morning, when I come home from Uni and if I’m up late I’ll watch it before I go to bed. We are talking around 4-6 times A DAY. (How can there be so many episodes!) Anyway I love the Teen Out of Control/ Today I’ll Prove You Are the Father episodes but hate the Drab to Sexy Makeovers, Am I A Man or a Woman and the Crazy Phobia’s Revealed shows. Lame.

2. Nivea Essential Lip Care Lip balm. I carry this stuff everywhere with me. It is the product I use last thing at night and first thing in the morning. I have tried nearly every lip balm on the market and I either hate the smell of them (this one has a barely distinguishable smell) or if I stop using them my lips go instantly dry. This lip balm is amazing in every way and is so cheap! I usually keep 2-3 unopened packets of it in my room (the boy thinks I’m crazy by the way) and carry two on my person at all times. God I’m crazy.

3. MAC’s Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50. If I leave my house I have this on my face (hopefully my skin will thank me for it in the future) and it is another product that I always have a back-up of so I’m never caught without it. Thick and creamy, a great base for make-up and is SPF 50. I love this product.

4. Reading. I literally go a little crazy if for whatever reason I can’t read for a few days. Boring as it sounds there is no place that I am happier than being in bed with a book I can’t put down. If anyone is interested at the moment I’m working my way through the classics but I also love reading history books. I always have a To Read pile on my bookshelf which at this very moment contains – The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf (can’t wait to get round to this but I have a feeling it will make me really angry), The Plagues of London by Stephen Porter, The Road To Wigan Pier by George Orwell, Moby Dick by Herman Melville and All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy.

5. Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat. Everyone has heard about it so I don’t need to go on. Another product I have to have a back up of. Love it.

6. MAC’s Frankly Scarlett Blusher. Yes it looks really scarily RED in the packaging but if you put it on really sparingly it gives the most natural blush colour.

7. Superdrug’s Tea Tree Sensitive Mud Mask. This might be one for girls in the UK only, whenever I’m having a spot issue I just coat my face with his sit back for 10 minutes and it really seems to speed up the healing process. I love it and its super cheap too. You can find it here.

8. Golden Syrup Flavour Porridge with seeds, nuts and dried fruit on top. The only thing that gets me up in the morning.

9. Britney Spears. But you already knew that right? Blackout, worst cover best album.

10. Staying in Hotels. I am very fortunate that I get to stay in a lot of hotels. The most recent one I stayed in was Malmaison in Liverpool which was amazing. It’s nice to stay in a hotel even if it is in your own city.

11. Perfume. This could be called an obsession although I have managed to rein it in over the past couple of months. I have 27 bottles at this moment in time. Favourites being Versace Crystal Noir, Paco Rabanne Black XS, Lanvin Rumeur 2 Rose, Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb and Britney Spears Believe (seriously smell before you judge!).

You deserve a pat on the back if you read all of that! I'm getting my hair done tomorow woohoo!!!

5 and 6 were taken on the island of Pserimos aka The Storm Wind City hence my tied back hair, it was blowing a gale! Tiny island with around 20 houses on it, a bar, one hotel and thats it. Beautiful.
7 and 8 taken on the sunset boat trip, so pretty but so cold!
9 taken on the island whose name escapes me (!)- argh its on the tip of my tongue!
10 a Kos kitty (with some of his ear missing poor guy!)

This is the dress I basically lived in all holiday. It is one of those holiday dresses that are neither too short or too long, not too tight so it doesn't make you even hotter in the sun and even better because of the print you can't tell if it is a little grubby (gross I know but the amount of white cotton sundresses I have that had to be retired to the suitcase after one wear is ridiculous). Also I was trying to keep the weight of my suitcase to a minimum as my last two holidays I have been charged for having a hideously overweight case (I had to pay £100 on the way to Rhodes last year and 70 euros on the way back from Ibiza earlier this year!) but I managed to be a kilo underweight for the first time ever!

In case anyone was wondering me and the boy went to Kos, Greece for the week (should have gone for 10 days dammit!) and it was beautiful, lovely and sunny and the best bit was cats as far as the eye could see!

If these pictures seem a little different quality-wise that usual it is because they were taken with my Fuji Finepix F50, I couldn't be bothered lugging my Nikon around with me!

Say hello to my new back to uni/school bag. Since the bag I used last year practically dislocated my shoulder everyday I hope this one will be a little easier to carry. I know a backpack would be the most practical way to go but until I can afford an Alexander Wang or Givenchy version then I refuse. I chose the orange version because the brown one isn't a very nice shade and the brown version in real leather has an ugly nylon strap.

I have finally set up a Twitter account (I am behind the times I know) which you can find at the top right of this page. Another thing which has taken its time is me getting my mitts on a pair of Les Chiffoniers pvc leggings. I love them. When I got dressed it was pretty overcast outside so I thought this outfit would be weather appropriate, then as soon as we got into the car the sun decided to come out. I'm not complaining though as it hardly ever shows its face these days. I guess these pictures dont really show my hair too well, I will try to rectify this with the next post.

The colour of this shirt matches my hair. This makes me sad. I have been wearing my new wedges pretty much exclusively since they arrived despite the fact they earn me some strange looks as I am walking down the street. I think it is because I am crazy tall in them. They are however really comfortable and easy to walk in. I have been trying to tone up for when I go on holiday again at the end of August with the boy. Squats hurt. As do crunches.

Here she is, the most unreliable blogger ever. Sorry guys, sometimes life just gets in the way. I'm back from Ibiza and a long weekend in Cardiff so that explains my absence. I'm trying to rock my barely there tan (we only had 3 days of sunshine! Out of 7! I demand a refund! It was either completely cloudy or lightly raining. Fun times). Somehow I managed to spend an obscene amount of money while I was on holiday and I have very little to show for it, but I did buy some lovely crystal pendants, an embroidered leather bag which reminded me of something by Matthew Williamson, the teardrop shaped ring (in the photos above) and a few handmade cotton tops all from Ibiza's amazing Hippie Market which we could have walked around for many more hours than we did if money and energy had not run out.

The rhinestone bodysuit I'm wearing in this post is one of the first D.I.Y's I have done in a long time (I also made a nude version of it) and was bizarrely therapeutic, it allowed my brain to completely zone out while concentrating on alternating the size of the stones used. Anyway enough prattle, its good to be back.x

Yet another boring outfit, I do apologise. In other news I jet off to Ibiza on Saturday, fun times! I can't wait to get my sunbathe on! At long last I'm back! Finally had my computer fixed but I am sad to say that I lost EVERYTHING on it. All of my photos and music are gone, gone, gone. So I will cheer myself up with a post about when I went to see the living legend that is Miss Britney Spears. Soooo good. She looked hot, performed well (not including when she shouted "What's up London?" when we were actually in Manchester) and me and my friend got upgraded to the VIP section (and I also wormed my way right to the very front) ! WooHoo!! It was surreal seeing her so close but it was amazing. It was so hard to get photos of her because she does not keep still so I just did loadsa videos instead. Love her.

The first outing for my coral summer dress I bought a couple of months ago. This is a pretty random outfit actually, I am annoyed by the fact I am wearing a turquoise ring and bracelet at the same time. I must have been stir crazy with the heat. This amazing amethyst crystal bullet necklace by Leoravon on Etsy is my new favourite piece of jewellery which I have been wearing pretty much exclusively since it arrived, I seriously love it. I need more!

This Liberty print bustier seems to have been one of my best purchases this year, i have worn it a lot so far and it has only just decided to be summer. These new jeans make me crazy, I love the acid/tie dye wash but the fit is insane. They are meant to be high-waisted and I made sure I bought the ones from the 'Tall' section but look how low they are! That's what I get for having a freakishly long torso. And not trying things on before I buy. Oh well.

In other news during the making of this post I have been listening to Tom Jones' and Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits. Yep, that's just how much I rock.

I guess I got my wish after all my bitching about the lack of sun, the weekend was gorgeous! I spent it eating junk food, watching dvds, walking in the sunshine and a little shopping. I hadn't realised how breezy it was when I got dressed so needless to say the whole day was spent holding the hem of my dress down! I have become obsessed with wearing sunglasses, I think it is because as I get older I get more and more worried about wrinkles around the eye caused by squinting in the sun. Due to this you are going to be seeing a lot more sunglasses on my blog (I had 15 pairs at last count!). Oh and I like my sunglasses cheap as I have a tendency to sit on them/ drop them!

Anticipating summer. Which really needs to hurry up and come around, I wore a baggy t-shirt, hoodie jeans and leather jacket today and was still freezing. Damn British weather.

To answer some of the questions in a previous post,

I am 5'10
Tips for hair growth- I eat nuts and seeds everyday without fail, seeds sprinkled on porridge in the morning, handful of nuts as a snack. You will eventually see the results of this in the condition of your hair. I trim my hair once ever 3 weeks, it grows crazy fast. I wouldnt suggest trimming it this often when you are still growing it, I would say once every 6 weeks (or whenever the ends feel like they need it). Finally, I have said this before but I believed it really improved the condition of my hair when I was growing it, olive oil wraps. Just coat the hair from root to tip and tie it up, leave it on for as long as possible then shampoo it out. Simple.

I found these shameless Balenciaga knock-offs last week and I absolutely love them and they are surprisingly comfortable (at last comfortable heels!)! I wore this to visit the boy's parents in Cardiff and have a glass or two of wine (it never stays at a glass or two does it?). Bianca Jagger again proving why she is my biggest style icon of all time. She was (and still is) flawless. Look I'm not at the beach! Today I had an impromptu shopping trip and found some amazing purple strappy suede Zara shoes, some powder blue platforms with an ankle cuff and buckles, a tie dye vest and a coral gathered hip skirt. Also a few disaster purchases, a Zara ruffle sun dress with a missing button and missing button loop and an obscenely low cut bodysuit-both will be winging their way back to the store.

The shoes in these pictures aren't actually yellow in real life, they are a kind of acid-lime green and unsurprisingly painful.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside! Me and the boy tested out my new camera at the beach today (it looks so much warmer than it actually was!). My denim shirt and hand jewelery (do these things have an official name?) are the spoils of my shopping trip with the lovely Miss Woo, bloggers unite! I have been searching high and low for a leather satchel that even comes close to Proenza Schouler's to die for PS1. Still no luck. The closest I have come across is this yellow Topshop version which would be quite nice if I had never seen the PS1 (it is vaguely similar to this clutch version of the PS1 which is mighty easy on the eye too...), but alas what has been seen cannot be unseen. I will continue my search, if anyone has seen anything close to the PS1 let me know!

This post is a tribute the amazing pink jacket my friend Samantha (of Hoy Fashion fame) got me on her recent travels to Chile. It is literally perfect in every way and fits me like a glove. Believe me, you will be seeing a hell of a lot of it on this blog especially now spring is upon us. So thank you Sam I freaking love it!.x. Oh and I know the second skirt is coral but I just love it, especially with the nude top (I gotta get one of those.)

You can now buy Carrie Bradshaw's infamous Vivienne Westwood wedding dress (well almost this one is a shorter version) on Net-A-Porter. I don't know if its just me but I love that a bride can purchase this dress (although I hope they don't wear it with the 'bird' headdress and harsh red lipstick) I think it looks so much more beautiful as it is and its a snip at £4,530 (if you consider it is both Westwood and a wedding dress). Snog Marry Avoid?

I have been intending to do a post on this TV show for the longest time but I kept putting it off. After watching this episode I could restrain myself no longer. BBC3’s Snog, Marry, Avoid? Has to be one of my favourite shows on television at the moment (as well as Fatman Scoop’s Man and Wife and The City. I love me some trash TV.) So for anyone who has not seen the show the general premise is it is not a makeover show, but a ‘makeunder’ show. They take a girl (some boys too) who is wearing too much make-up and too-few clothes and they tone down her look.

The sheer entertainment value of this show is what keeps me watching but none of the ‘makeunder’ candidates have shocked me as much as this girl. On what planet would you think it was a good idea to go on a night out wearing…a thong and a bra? I can not articulate how repulsed I am. Just watch the video…. Here are some purchases from my weekend away. The clutch looks huge in comparison with the dress! I'm really leaning toward a nude/ultra pale colour palette at the moment so I suppose this dress lends itself to that, but it is still random for my taste. I have been pouring over the collections and Richard Nicoll is doing it for me with that muted palette. Yummy. Outfit post is on its way.
